Architectural Design Professional Gravity Architecture & Design, LLC 733 West Smith Street, Orlando, FL 32804 We are looking for a skilled and creative Architectural Design Professional to join our growing Hospitality design studio!

With more than 30 years of experience, Gravity Architecture + Design is made up of Architects, Interior Designers, Brand Experts, Rendering Studios and a wealth of related consultants that come together as a team with our clients to plan, design and open truly successful destinations. We can provide consulting design or full-service design and permit/construction drawings for projects around the globe. We are licensed in over 30 states and have done work in over 15 countries over the years. Our studio is based in Orlando, FL but we just opened up a second office in Chicago!

Qualifications/Required Knowledge:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited University. At least 3-5 years of Architecture related experience in hospitality design. Proficiency and full knowledge in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), Bluebeam, MS Office Suite, and Lumion. Experience in producing schematic design, design development, and construction documents for both exterior and interior environments in both 2D drawings and 3D model representations. Experience in producing design booklets and formal presentations using InDesign is a must. Experience working on master planning and site development projects. Strong understanding of building codes and regulations. On track to earning Architecture License – have begun taking NCARB exams. Strong organizational and communication skills to interact with clients and team members in our collaborative studio environment. Detail-oriented mindset with a keen eye for aesthetics and design precision. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to navigate design challenges. Candidates must be fluent in English and posses excellent verbal and written communication skills. Have a passion for great design and am eager to join our expanding team!

Main Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively or under the supervision of a Principal Architect/Senior Level staff to create unique and exciting hospitality projects. Conceptualize and create 3D Architecture models using SketchUp for both Architectural and Interior designs. Produce/Assist with detailed drawings, plans, and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software for various sized projects and design scopes. Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and zoning laws. Creative design thinking, spatial, and environmental design ability, branding development, story creation, and graphic design sensibility are required. Ownership of multiple concurrent projects, resilience to switch gears quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining design quality. Detail oriented and comfortable working in a rewarding yet demanding environment. Stay up to date with industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies to incorporate into designs.
