Senior Design Engineer Position Available In Orange, Florida

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CAD Designer with deep expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed civil design plans and construction documents for a variety of infrastructure, land development, and site/civil projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and produce high-quality engineering drawings, plans, and exhibits using Civil 3D. Design and model civil infrastructure components including grading, utilities, roadways, stormwater systems, and site layouts. Collaborate closely with engineers to interpret and implement design concepts into construction documents. Create alignments, corridors, profiles, and surfaces within Civil 3D. Ensure all drawings are compliant with applicable codes, client standards, and project requirements. Support the coordination and integration of civil designs with architectural and structural drawings. Perform quantity take-offs and assist in developing cost estimates. Review and revise drawings based on engineering mark-ups and client feedback. Mentor junior CAD designers and drafters, providing guidance and quality checks.

Requirements:

Associate’s degree or CAD certification in Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field. Minimum 5+ years of experience in civil design with a strong emphasis on Civil 3D . Proficiency in creating detailed site and civil plans including grading, drainage, roadways, and utilities. Experience with stormwater modeling tools and GIS data integration is a plus. Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles and construction practices. Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
