You will join a team of architects and designers,working in a multi-discipline, collaborative, and engagingteam-based environment that draws on multiple perspectives in thepursuit of innovative solutions. As part of this team, you willhave the opportunity to shape architectural projects in a varietyof typologies and scales for clients that include educational andcultural institutions, commercial developers, government entities,and local communities. General responsibilities include but are not limited to thefollowing: Non-licensed architectural staff Responsible for specific technical design aspects of anassigned major project, including investigation, evaluation andrecommendation of design solutions that best meets the client’sneeds Provides professional architectural consultation in theplanning, design and coordination of large complexprojects Independently applies advanced architectural concepts anddesigns Carries out complex or novel assignments requiring thedevelopment of new or improved techniques and procedures May provide technical guidance to less experiencedarchitects/architectural staff Collaborate with project teams during project design phasesincluding programming, concept development, schematic design,design development, and construction documentation Develop design sketches, renderings, models, graphics,presentation materials, analysis, and construction drawings andschedules Participate in the construction administration of projectsincluding jobsite visits, review of submittals, and responding tocontractor questions Communicate and engage with a wide variety of stakeholdersincluding clients, owners, users, team members, consultants,contractors, and regulatory agencies to achieve overall projectobjectives Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and participationin continuouslearning Help deliver great projects with a sense of energy, passion andpersonal responsibility Education, Technology, and Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an NAAB accreditedArchitecture program 6+ years of professional experience Prior experience in an architectural practice or related fieldwill be given special consideration Physical model building, experience in a model building shop isstrongly preferred Excellent graphic, drawing, and presentationcapabilities Exposure to environmental analysis applications such as ClimateStudio, Sefaira, Insight360, and Lady Bug/Honeybee is aplus Commitment to sustainable design principles and interest inachieving accreditation in

AP, and/or GreenGlobes Additional Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Capable of independently executing projects of small to mediumsize and/or complexity with minor direction and oversight Advanced level knowledge of design, modeling and graphicsoftware (Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Adobe Creative Cloud, and/orsimilar applications) Advanced level understanding of appropriateness of buildinginformation modeling for various project types Advanced level understanding of architectural drafting, detailand documentation standards Intermediate level understanding of architecturalspecifications and their relationship to constructiondocuments Proficient understanding of basic codes, sustainabilityrequirements and their implementation Intermediate level understanding of buildingprogramming Architectural registration examination and licensure isactively in process Dedicated to developing his/her professional and leadershipskills within the firm Proficient in client presentation development, public speaking,technical writing and business correspondence skills Physical Requirements Work is sedentary and often performed in an office setting. Workarea is lighted, heated, and ventilated. This position may requireextended periods of standing, sitting, as well as some repetitivemovements, bending and lifting of minimal weight.
