Structural Designer Job Description We are seeking experienced Structural Design professionals to join a confidential, multi-year initiative. This role involves providing drafting and detailing support for the structural design of a Reactor Building, from the preliminary phase through to the construction documents. Responsibilities Prepare 3D Revit structural models and 2D drawings and details of structural building systems. Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 3D models, 2D cross sections, section details, tolerance stack-ups, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection. Utilize in-depth knowledge of a structural discipline, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy and strategy. Apply knowledge of structural drafting and design best practices, including interfaces with mechanical piping, HVAC, and electrical systems. Work with BIM coordinator to manage and issue models in Autodesk Construction Cloud tool while enforcing configuration management plan. Support the Civil Structural Team in 3D modeling using Navisworks and Revit. Use multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions. Essential Skills Proficiency in Revit and Autodesk suite of tools. Structural design and engineering skills. Experience in structural drafting for heavy industrial, thermal power, nuclear industry, or similar industries. Minimum 3 years of experience using Revit for structural modeling. Technical experience and analytical thinking. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associates degree in Structural Design or similar, with 3 years of relevant experience, or at least 5 years of relevant work experience in structural drafting. Competency in computer programs and software such as Microsoft products and Microsoft Teams. Advanced knowledge of Revit family creation. Autodesk Inventor experience is a plus. Experience using Autodesk BIM360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud. Experience using Autodesk Vault. Experience managing project work schedules and priorities. Ability to work proactively with Engineering teams to develop 3D Model in Autodesk Tool suite (Revit). Experience working within a team environment to execute work plans and schedules for mission success. Perform work in compliance with policies and procedures.
