The Project Designer reports to the Project Designerand is responsible for the creation of the new projects. They are responsible for the entire project from conceptual design through construction administration. The project designer will oversee lead architectural designers and team of Architectural Designers to produce the required projects on schedule. While the designers create specific drawings, the Manager need to coordinate their work and verify it is applicable to the project. The Project Designer is also responsible for attending project meetings and site visits as applicable to successfully complete the project. The Project Designer is also responsible for quality assurance & control review of projects.

Essential Functions:

1. Responsible for Lead and Architectural Designer team management. 2. Lead and support various phases of project work including schematic design, design development, and construction documents. 3. Responsible for seeing the project comply and coordinated with community standards, PUD, zoning & proffer requirements. 4. Responsible for quality assurance of all projects. 5. Collaborate with team members in developing design and technical solutions. 6. Responsible for attending project and client meetings as required. Timeliness and professionalism are essential to ensure effective communication and collaboration with team members and clients. You will be expected to prepare for each meeting, actively participate in discussions, and contribute valuable insights. Your commitment to punctuality and engagement will help foster strong relationships with clients and facilitate successful project outcomes. 7. Responsible for effectively managing your time to ensure project milestones are met. You will utilize Asana to monitor the progress of ongoing projects, updating deadlines as necessary to reflect any changes or challenges. Involved in Code Research and Code Analysis 8. Attend Frame walks and other required site visits 9. Provide construction administration support as needed throughout the project lifecycle. 10. Responsible for maintaining and creating all architectural standards within the organization. This includes developing and updating guidelines that ensure consistency and quality across projects. You will also oversee file management, ensuring that all architectural documents are organized, accessible, and up-to-date. 11. Responsible for launching initiatives within your team that enhance productivity, collaboration, and overall performance. You will take the lead in developing these initiatives, ensuring they align with departmental goals and company objectives. Once launched, you will monitor team adherence to these initiatives, providing guidance and support to ensure successful implementation. 12. Responsible for accurately recording all meeting minutes along with your supervisor. You will capture key discussions, decisions, and action items, ensuring that all relevant information is documented clearly and concisely. Following each meeting, you will implement the action items and initiatives discussed, tracking progress and ensuring accountability among team members. 13. Use project checklists and DClugston established standards during all project phases 14. Be a resource to Emerging Professionals and Architectural Designer I’s, II’s, & 3’s

Job Requirements:

Professional registration is not required, but preferred Proficient in Revit, 3D rendering programs, of experience 6+ years of professional experience with a focus on architecture design and CDS Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. Ability to work as both a team leader and as support, with a collaborative approach. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Produce high-level graphic presentations Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture required A project portfolio that demonstrates a strong design sense Lead and be responsible for the production of accurate technical drawings, documents, and project specifications, including but not limited to, life safety plans, life cycle cost analysis (LCCA), sustainability initiatives, and other required project documentation
