EngineeringOverview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented FireSprinkler Designer with a NICET Level III certification to join ourdynamic team. This role is responsible for the design, layout, andcoordination of fire sprinkler systems for a variety of commercial,industrial, and residential projects. The ideal candidate isexperienced in code compliance, system hydraulics, and CAD/BIMtools, and thrives in a collaborative and deadline-drivenenvironment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and layout fire sprinklersystems using AutoCAD, Revit, or other BIM platforms in accordancewith NFPA standards and local codes. Perform hydraulic calculationsand material takeoffs to support system performance and costestimation. Collaborate with project managers, engineers,architects, and field personnel to ensure designs are accurate andconstructible. Prepare submittals, fabrication drawings, andas-built documentation. Conduct on-site field surveys andcoordination meetings when necessary. Ensure all designs meetjurisdictional code requirements and pass AHJ review. Stay currentwith industry standards, product developments, and code updates.
Mentor and support junior designers or technicians, if applicable.
Qualifications:
NICET Level III Certification in Water-BasedSystems Layout (Required). Minimum [X] years of experience in firesprinkler system design. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, andhydraulic calculation software (such as HydraCAD, SprinkCAD, orAutoSPRINK). Strong understanding of NFPA codes, particularly NFPA13, 14, and 25. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention todetail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
