CTL Engineering is hiring Roadway Engineers (P.E. or Sr-levelP.E./PM)!We are hiring for multiple career levels: Mid-career Senior-level P.E./Project Manager CTL Engineering () is an award winning, full service consultingengineering firm with (15) locations across OH, IN, WV, KY, NC, SC,and VA with a rich history over our (97) years in business. Weprovide civil/site design and land surveying, environmental,geotechnical, construction administration & inspection, accidentreconstruction, roofing/building envelope, A/V system design,troubleshooting & installation, transportation design(bridge/roadway), and specialized testing services to theconstruction industry. We are looking for Roadway Engineers whowill be involved in the full spectrum of roadway engineeringprojects – from conception through completion. Your role will involve designing, analyzing, and evaluatingroadways to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with NCDOTstandards and guidelines. You’ll leverage your expertise in infrastructure design andcreative problem-solving skills while collaborating closely withinstitutions/municipal agencies. This position will use your experience while developing newskills to assist clients through our cross-functional team dynamicand company culture. Responsibilities:

Perform analysis and design for various types of roadways,including new constructions, widening and rehabilitations. Lead and oversee roadway design and analysis projects inaccordance with NCDOT requirements. Analyze traffic patterns to develop roadway design. Review and approve design plans from subcontractors. Coordinate with public and governmental agencies for projectapprovals. Prepare and review technical engineering reports, drawings, andspecifications. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Ensure projects adhere to budgetary and schedulingconstraints. Conduct field inspections and evaluations of existing roadwayconditions. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise duringconstruction. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior Engineersand staff. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of State DOT/DOH policies,guidelines, and industry best practices.

Knowledge, Skills andAbilities:

Knowledge of civil and engineering principles, reporting,analysis and management of teams and projects. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and inwriting. Ability to manage and train others and be a team player. Ability to be reliable and on time. Must have a high level of professionalism, and comfortable withclient interaction – have the ability to build relationships. Be quality-minded and client-focused.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree (MSCE) preferred but not required. Any level of experience in roadway engineering, with a focus onState DOH/DOT projects. Strong knowledge of NCDOT design standards, specifications, andprocedures. Proficiency in roadway design software – Civil 3D, OpenRoadDesigner, etc. Familiarity with project management software such as MS Projectis a plus. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communicationskills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to deliveringhigh-quality work.
