Senior Civil Designer (Remote) Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Designer to join our dynamic and growing team. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality design solutions. Responsibilities Lead the civil design process for complex projects from concept through construction documentation. Prepare detailed civil design plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software. Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other design professionals to ensure project goals are met. Perform grading, drainage, utility layout, and roadway design. Review and interpret survey data, geotechnical reports, and environmental documents. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards. Mentor junior designers and provide technical guidance. Participate in design reviews and quality assurance processes. Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, remote environment. Essential Skills Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field. Minimum of7+ years of experience in civil design, preferably in land development or infrastructure. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3Dis required; experience with MicroStation, GIS, or other design tools is a plus. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, codes, and standards. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting.
