Position Summary :
We are seeking a highly creative and motivated Architectural Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional design skills, a strong technical background, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects at various stages of development, primarily Construction Documents. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of a start-up architecture studio, helping to establish standards and practices for future projects while working on a wide range of architectural designs, from initial concepts to project completion. This position is in-office only, No Hybrid or working from home available. Requires reliable transportation for commuting and site visits.
Key Responsibilities :
- Help establish and refine workflows, templates, and standards for efficient project execution.
- Develop creative and practical design concepts for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with project teams, clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure design integrity and project goals are met.
- Conduct site visits and assist with field measurements and documentation.
- Document existing conditions, based on field measurements and photo documentation.
- Follow projects through all phases of design leading to permit sets and Construction Documents.
- Coordinate with engineering disciplines, including MEP and structural, to resolve design challenges.
- Contribute to project visualization through renderings and presentations using tools like Rhino & Enscape.
- Stay informed about building codes, zoning regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and innovation.
- Work independently, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and project schedules.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in residential and multi-family architectural design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- knowledge of Revit and rendering software (e.g., Enscape or similar).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design and technical skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of construction documentation and detailing.
- Familiarity with BIM workflows is a plus.
- Ability to help develop processes and standards for a growing studio.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
