Job Description
Conceptualize, create, design, and develop architectural plans/strategies for international mixed-use high-rise buildings construction including large-scale master planning, office, residential, and hotel, through all phases. With oversight from design principal, assist in leading teams of architectural designers to produce concept design studies, feasibility studies, design development studies, and high-quality presentation materials for client and government approvals. Develop architectural plans and drawings, taking into account project regulatory codes, environmental rules and regulations, safety issues, and other design and construction-related factors. Alongside the design principal, develop the design concept, presentation narrative, site and traffic planning, exterior façades, interior design, material selection, landscape, and lighting concepts for high-end mixed-used high-rise building projects. Develop innovative design solutions and coordinate construction documents with specialist consultants regarding structure, MEP (mechanical, engineering, and plumbing) systems, facade, vertical transportation systems, façade maintenance, lighting, and landscape. Utilize AutoCAD to draft, sketch architectural drawings on curtain wall and canopies. Coordinate junior-level Architects to prepare architectural drawings and documents. Develop complex 3-dimensional geometric building and façade design approaches that lead to iconic and innovative building and façade designs in response to project brief and site conditions. Utilize Grasshopper plugin within Rhinoceros 3D to address complex and challenging curtain wall and canopy designs in a computational manner, by developing easily modifiable parametric models to expedite the production of Rhinoceros models. Prepare construction drawings in aid of Building Integrated Modeling (BIM) and drafting software such as Revit and AutoCAD. Utilize Adobe Creative Suite for high-end visualization and publication quality presentation materials. Collaborate and manage coordination with consultants from ancillary design disciplines of landscape design, lighting design and interior design to hand over a comprehensive building to the client. Liaise with contractors and approve submittals in construction administration phase. Liaise with the client on all design and construction related issues, assess their needs, develop strategies to satisfy their objectives, communicate the direction with the project team and aid their marketing strategy.
Requires:
Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Architecture, Architectural Design or a closely related field, plus 5 years’ experience in Architecture, and 5 years of experience with:
Conceptualizing, designing, and developing architectural plans/strategies for international mixed-use high-rise buildings construction including large-scale master planning, office, residential, and hotel, through all phases. Architectural design, including MEP systems, structural systems, vertical transportation systems, façade and curtain wall design technical details, taking into account code and zoning requirements, environmental regulations, urban constraints and cities requirements for mixed-used high-rise building projects. Drafting technical drawing sets and other architectural documents through all phases using AutoCad and revit software. Preparing presentations through all phases using Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Performing 3D modeling of complex geometries using sketch up 3D software. Utilizing Grasshopper plugin within Rhinoceros 3D to address designs in a computational manner; and Using V-ray for rendering techniques to articulate experiential design ideas and demonstrate spatial quality for client’s understanding.
