RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with architects and owners throughout the country in the earliest phases of building design to develop custom building solutions or tailor existing systems to meet the client’s aesthetic and performance goals. Quickly generate conceptual designs, budgets, and schedules. Interface and assist with sales, estimating, engineering and production departments in the development and application of systems. Develop and oversee industry standard and/or custom testing and structural analysis of products or systems Develop specifications Coordinate with legal counsel to generate and obtain patents for new systems when appropriate

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in architecture or architectural engineering technology or equivalent. Excellent listening and communications skills to decern client needs and goals to develop unique building solutions. Ability to interpret architectural drawings, sketches and written scopes of work to assist the client in the development of project components. Excellent freehand sketch capabilities to share and explore ideas in face-to-face meeting context. Specification writing Experience with and working knowledge of Windows Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project). Above average communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to travel (up to 20% of time) Excellent experience in developing and conducting presentations to a wide variety of audiences

PREFERRED CHARACTERISTICS

• Registered Architect status preferred. Sealing documents is not required
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interest in the exploration and understanding of materials and methods
