Our experienced team connects testing and engineering and allows problem solving and corrective actions to occur before they become adverse client challenges. Job Description Experienced CAD Administrator with a focus on Autodesk design software, Autodesk Vault for data management, and Bentley design software. This role is critical in supporting our multi-platform design environment, maintaining CAD infrastructure, administrating multiple Autodesk Vault environments, researching new software, enforcing standards, and ensuring seamless collaboration between design, engineering, and IT teams. The ideal candidate combines strong technical know-how with problem-solving capabilities and has a passion for maintaining efficient, well-structured CAD operations. Typical duties include (but are not limited to): System Administration & Technical Support Manages configuration, deployment, data migrations, and troubleshooting of Autodesk Vault for design data and version control. Administers and maintains Autodesk suites (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, etc.) and Bentley software (e.g., Utilities, MicroStation). Supports users across CAD platforms, diagnosing technical issues and implementing long-term solutions. Coordinates with IT for software upgrades, server maintenance, license management, and data security compliance. Evaluates and implements new solutions to assist in company growth. CAD Standards, Templates & Libraries Develops, documents, and enforces CAD standards across Bentley and Autodesk platforms. Creates and manages drawing templates, block libraries, titleblocks, and content for standardized outputs. Vault & Data Management Sets up and maintains Autodesk Vault workspaces, user access roles, and lifecycle configurations. Ensures accurate versioning, check-in/check-out procedures, and data synchronization across teams. Supports integration of Vault with project workflows and design tools. Training & User Enablement Trains users on Bentley and Autodesk tools, including Vault best practices, shortcuts, and standard procedures. Provides documentation and internal support resources for new and existing users. Assists in onboarding design staff with CAD workstation setup and access provisioning. Automation & Optimization Identifies opportunities to streamline CAD workflows via scripts, LISP routines, or API-based automation. Collaborates with project teams to implement digital delivery workflows and integrations (e.g., between CAD, BIM, GIS, and document control platforms). Stays current with new releases, updates, and emerging tools across both Bentley and Autodesk ecosystems. Desired Education, Experience and Training Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Computer-Aided Design, or a related discipline. 4+ years of hands-on experience with Bentley and Autodesk systems. Proven ability to quickly grasp new concepts, learn new products and develop practical solutions Familiarity with multi-disciplinary CAD/BIM workflows and standards. Strong analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting skills. Effective communicator with the ability to support users at all skill levels. Quality-driven mindset with attention to design accuracy and data integrity. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional environments.
