National Bridge Group:

Focuses on complex and long span fixed bridge design, as well as housing our research expertise and specification development efforts. Projects include new design and rehabilitation of complex and long span bridges such as arches, post-tensioned concrete structures, cable stayed bridges, suspension bridges, and all other structure types. M&M’s forensic and collapse investigation expertise, as well as seismic and erection engineering, is also housed in this unit. • Entry Level (0-4 years related Bridge Design Experience) Ideal Candidates will have: At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from anABET accredited College or University MS in Civil Engineering is preferred
  Ideal candidates will have a valid EI certification, or in the process of obtaining.

General Responsibilities:

Possesses specialized knowledge in one or more areas of bridge analysis and design (for example: concrete analysis, time dependent post-tensioned concrete, seismic, foundations, etc.).
Ability to identify complex problems, evaluate options, and suggest/implement solutions.
Ability to effectively manage time and resources in the execution of their duties and responsibilities.
Ability to supervise entry-level engineers.
Ability to use computer assisted design and drafting software.
Ability to use standard and more advanced engineering analysis software.
Develop the ability to design, detail and create contract plan sheets for bridge related projects.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, Project Managers, administrative supervisor, other team members, clients and subcontractors.
Ability to receive and convey ideas and information effectively, both orally and in writing, with co-workers, Project Managers, administrative supervisor, other team members, clients, and subcontractors
