Project Design Engineer (Technical Support – Civil/Drainage) kaiyiee Information Technology Co., Ltd. Erie, PA About the Role We’re looking for a hands-on Project Design Engineer with a background in civil engineering—especially in water or drainage projects. In this role, you’ll work closely with both our technical and sales teams to support municipal pipeline rehabilitation projects, using trenchless technologies like CIPP (Cured-In-Place Pipe). Your job includes reviewing designs, helping prepare cost estimates, giving technical advice, and visiting project sites to support installations and solve real-time problems. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical know-how with practical teamwork. What You’ll Do 1. Project Design & Cost Estimation Review basic project data (pipe size, depth, soil type) and help choose the right materials and solutions Assist with structural calculations and prepare layout drawings if needed Provide cost estimates and technical suggestions for tenders or proposals 2. Technical Support Answer client and contractor questions about our products and installation process Join meetings with city engineers or contractors to give technical input Support on-site activities when needed, such as installation guidance or troubleshooting 3. Quality & Feedback Help check key installation steps like resin curing, liner placement, or spiral winding Collect field data and feedback to help improve future projects Work with R D or production if special product samples are needed 4. Support Sales & Training Work closely with the sales team to prepare technical documents and presentations Create or translate training materials, and help run workshops or demos Explain technical concepts clearly to clients, even those without engineering backgrounds 5. Maintain Client Relationships Join project meetings, help resolve technical issues, and build trust with key clients Act as a friendly and reliable technical representative for the company What We’re Looking For Background Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Supply & Drainage, or related field Some experience in municipal engineering, trenchless technology, or piping systems is preferred Experience with CAD and basic structural analysis software is a plus Skills Good communication skills—can explain technical points clearly to both engineers and non-engineers Organized, hands-on, and willing to travel for projects or training sessions Problem-solver with a practical mindset and attention to detail Why Work with Us?
