Overview
The faculty will be responsible for providing educational leadership and student instruction on a part-time and/or substitute basis in the Engineering Design / CAD areas. Specifically, technical drawing and CAD applications to include: geometric construction, multiview projection, sectional and auxiliary views, threads and fasteners, pictorial drawings, dimensioning, tolerancing, symbols, intersections and developments, cams, gears, schematic drawings, 2D/3D CAD, and others appropriate to instructional area. Qualifications
EDUCATION
Associate’s Degree in Engineering CAD Technology, or related discipline. Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Design Technology or related discipline. Preferred
Formal coursework in education. Preferred
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Valid and in State Valid Driver’s License. Required
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) Years teaching and/or Industrial work experience in Engineering CAD and design applications. Required
Combination of five (5) years of teaching and industrial work experience in Engineering CAD and design applications. Preferred
Experience with current release of AutoCAD and parametric modeling software. Required
Teaching and work experience with current release of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks software. Preferred
Background in related drafting applications (i.e. civil, structural, electrical, and electronics). Preferred
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Required
Developed organizational skills. Required
Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, staff, and other faculty. Required
Sensitivity to the expectations of students, faculty, staff, and the public. Required
Demonstrated sensitivity to diversity and multicultural issues. Required
Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s license. Preferred
Responsibilities
Instruct and evaluate student performance in technical drawing and CAD applications to include: geometric construction, multiview projection, sectional and auxiliary views, threads and fasteners, pictorial drawings, dimensioning, tolerancing, symbols, intersections and developments, cams, gears, schematic drawings, 2D/3D CAD, and others appropriate to instructional area.
Maintain accurate written records of student progress.
Maintain official student rosters online and enter student final grades into the college computer record system.
Maintain office hours according to contractual guidelines.
Maintain communications with School administrators as appropriate.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assume responsibility for laboratory coordination and maintenance
Attend Department meetings as requested.

Pay Transparency
The part-time rate for 2025/26 will be the greater of $1160 per credit or $773 per contact hour, prorated for student enrollment under seven. The approved substitute pay rate is $48.31 per hour during the first week of substituting and the prorated part-time teacher rate for consecutive substitute assignments that exceed one week.
