Job Description
STV is seeking a talented, detail-oriented Project Architect to join our Architecture practice in the Philadelphia office. This role is ideal for a technically strong architect who thrives on solving complex building envelope challenges and delivering high-quality design and documentation for significant building projects, including federal and higher education facilities. Due to project requirements, U.S. citizenship is mandatory for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of construction documents for building projects, with a special focus on high-performance exterior envelope design and detailing. Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and other Architects to ensure coordinated, constructible solutions from concept through construction. Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and participate in site visits to verify that work meets design intent and technical standards. Support the project team in code compliance, material selection, and integration of sustainable design strategies where applicable. Assist in mentoring junior architectural staff and contribute to a collaborative studio environment. Engage with clients and stakeholders as needed to communicate technical solutions clearly and confidently.
Qualifications:
Professional degree in Architecture; architectural license strongly preferred. Must be a U.S. Citizen due to federal project requirements. Minimum 8-12 years of experience as a practicing architect, including significant responsibility for exterior envelope design and detailing. Solid working knowledge of building codes, envelope systems, and constructability best practices. Experience with Higher Education projects is a strong plus. Proficiency with Revit/BIM workflows and industry-standard design tools. Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Compensation Range:
