Top Skills & Years of Experience:

• Requires an in-depth knowledge of engineering systems, applications, calculations, materials, construction methods, and relevant computer applications.
• Applies advanced principles and practices in engineering to resolve problems identified by construction organizations in a timely manner.
• Continued updating on new technologies and hardware in the industry is necessary.
• Candidate must demonstrate 8 years of experience as a Structural Designer including experience with structural detailing and design of building structures and commodity.
• Knowledge of 3D structural modeling and experience using 3D Modeling using Hexagon’s S3D software is required
• Must have working knowledge of National Codes and Standards for structural design.
• Candidate must be able to perform field walk-downs of the job site for the engineering work being performed. These walk-downs may involve Construction sites with uneven surfaces and work in progress, walking for distances over a half mile, climbing ladders to access remote areas, dressing out in protective clothing and environments where a respirator is required.
• Candidate must have the ability to produce quality documents with attention to detail.

• Possession of an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years is preferred.
• Previous SRS Design Engineering or DOE facility experience is preferred

Schedule:
