Director of Architecture & Design Position Available In Spartanburg, South Carolina

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/ACTIVITIES

Design Leadership & Strategy Develop and drive the architectural and interior design vision across all restaurant concepts. Translate brand identity into compelling, functional restaurant designs that elevate the guest experience. Project Oversight & Execution Lead end-to-end design processes for new openings, remodels, and refresh projects across multiple markets. Ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency across all project phases—from concept through construction. Team Development & Leadership Cultivate and coach a team of internal designers and consultants, fostering professional growth and cross-functional collaboration. Streamline workflows and encourage innovation through mentorship, performance management, and process improvements. Standards & Regulatory Compliance Establish and uphold comprehensive design guidelines, construction documentation, and brand standards. Ensure compliance with ADA, local codes, permitting, and health/safety regulations across all projects. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Real Estate, Construction, Operations, and Marketing teams to align project goals and timelines. Serve as a strategic advisor in site planning, feasibility studies, and restaurant layout optimization. Sustainability & Innovation Integrate sustainable design principles and energy-efficient systems into architectural planning. Explore and implement emerging technologies, materials, and trends to future-proof our design approach. Vendor & Contractor Oversight Select, contract, and manage external architectural firms and consultants. Ensure high performance, budget alignment, and on-time delivery across all collaborators. Budget, Timeline & Resource Management Collaborate on project budgets, value engineering efforts, and construction cost analysis. Track and report on timelines, deliverables, and key milestones, adjusting strategy as needed. Site Analysis & Due Diligence Conduct site visits and evaluations to assess viability, zoning implications, and design opportunities. The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum:

$128,000.00 –

Maximum:
