Duties, Responsibilities & Other Design and prepare deliverables for multiple land development projects simultaneously, ensuring successful completion within defined timelines and budgets.
Utilize strong organizational and scheduling skills to effectively track project progress and deliverables, providing regular updates to project stakeholders.
Communicate and collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders to understand project requirements, scope, and objectives.
Prepare and review engineering plans, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information and ensure project compliance with local regulations and standards.
Coordinate with internal and external teams to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and clearances for project execution.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in engineering techniques and technologies.

Requirements Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
Strong proficiency in using Civil 3D AutoCAD software.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in site civil engineering, preferably in North Carolina
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey complex engineering concepts to diverse audiences.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a demonstrated track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing engineering plans, reports, and documentation.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with local regulations, permitting processes, and design standards
Knowledge of construction practices, materials, and methods. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Appropriate graduate level work is preferred.
Minimum of 4 – 8 years of professional experience.

Ensure projects fulfill ISO compliance requirements
Complete other duties as required/assigned
Achieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization target(80-85% typical)
Attend bi-weekly(or more frequently as necessary) meetings with project team on all projects/tasks
Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting the scope
Consult and coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants as required
Operate within specified (corporate or project) budget parameters
Compare field data to base plan
Conduct site visits and gather data, including measurements, sketches, notes and photographs as needed
Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications and cost estimates for review and approval
Prepare preliminary concept designs and submit for approval
Read and interpret technical documents needed for performance of job
Review and approve shop drawings
