This position is responsible for designing and developing sprinklersystems to prevent or aid fire. Their responsibilities revolvearound performing research and analysis, utilizing feedback fromcustomers and other experts, producing prototypes or samples, andcoordinating with engineers and technicians. Furthermore, a firesprinkler designer may design upgrades and enhancements, createtesting structures, take part in installing and repairing systems,and conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure the fire sprinklersystems’ quality and efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Follow all OSHA standards and laws.
- Submit drawings for approval to AHJ.
- Attend regular development meetings
- Address limitations of technologies and materials involved in theCAD process
- Incorporate feedback into 3D model designs
- Make revisions to models as requested
- Run simulations and stress-tests on all 3D models beforeprototyping
- Keep up to date on all modern advancement in material andsoftware technologies
- Pursue ongoing education in the field
- Utilize large databases of material property information to bestselect materials for modeling
- Submit drawings for approval to AHJ.
- Design of plumbing drawings, as-built drawings, site watersupplies design and testing.
- Re-create new (MEP) and structural drawings under existingconditions for design coordination.
- Read and interpret architectural, structural and MEPdrawings.
- Provide accurate electrical schematics per client conditions andanalyze and track technical specifications including dimensions,arrangements, and installation procedures.
- Analyze and verify all hydraulic calculations to ensure adequatewater delivery in the event of a fire condition emergency.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.

Education/Qualification:

- Minimum 2-year degree in related field (preferred)
- Bachelor’s or Certifications (preferred)
- At least 2 years of experience utilizing CAD software
- Minimum 2 years working in a professional environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- An abundance of patience to see a complicated project to theend
- Ability to think in a three-dimensional manner
