Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work with Salespeople to develop new clients
- Graphically represent design solutions to clients
- Lead client through design process from conception to completion
- Select materials and finishes for all phases of project
- Provide client consultation, space planning, product specification, architectural details and specifications, project management, and construction administration
- Act as liaison between client and other trade professionals
- Knowledge of building codes and compliance issues Performing other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design (CIDA accredited program) or appropriate program
- NCIDQ Certification or on track to earn certification
- Professional affiliation with IIDA or appropriate organization (i.e, USGBC, LEED)
- Proficient in AutoCAD and CAP
- Space planning and programming experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to take measurements and apply to drawings, basic math skills.
- Technical reasoning skills, prioritize tasks; analytical and logistical thinking to provide solutions; understanding of complex furniture applications; good time management, good decision making.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally or in writing at every level in an organization (internal and external).
