Job Description

Our client, a leader in commercial real estate, is seeking a Chief Building Engineer to join their team. As a Chief Building Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting the operational excellence of the facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety which will align successfully in the organization.

  • What’s the Job?
  • + Oversee efficient, safe, and responsible operation of all building systems and equipment.

+ Lead the engineering team and provide senior technical support on campus. + Monitor and maintain refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, and other mechanical systems. + Manage inventory of tools and supplies and oversee contractor activities within buildings. + Respond to emergencies and lead critical after-hour issues and emergency responses.

  • What’s Needed?
  • + 7+ years of related experience in a similar role (Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, etc.). + People management experience and strong customer service skills. + Universal CFC EPA certification is required. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams). + Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use ladders up to 30 feet tall.
