Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our team in Mobile, AL. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in structural or civil engineering, with a preference for candidates with consulting engineering backgrounds. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and advance your career under the mentorship of licensed engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with design teams of 5-10 members to complete projects efficiently.
Manage and allocate resources to meet project deadlines and budgets.
Liaise with clients and professionals across various disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
Conduct field duties such as property inspections, evaluating conditions, and assessing foundations.
Prepare calculations, designs, and drawings in compliance with engineering standards.
Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction methods.
Create 3D models for design purposes and develop drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
Utilize structural engineering software such as RISA, Autodesk Robot, and Enercalc for analysis and design.
Administer contracts and oversee project management activities.
Maintain meticulous attention to detail and organizational efficiency.
Support a team-first atmosphere by collaborating and mentoring colleagues.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in consulting engineering.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and structural engineering software.
Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Physical capability to perform field duties, including climbing ladders, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
EIT certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire); PE license preferred but not required.
Expectation to obtain a PE license within one year of hire.
Opportunity to work directly with a licensed engineer for mentorship and guidance.
