- CMT Materials Engineer 1
- to join our Alabaster, AL team! Come join us!
- Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- + Communicate with clients, contractors, and project managers daily. + Daily completion of test reporting and timesheet entry. + Completion of online safety training modules as assigned. + Other duties as assigned by manager.
- Minimum requirements:
- + A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited university. + Must have a valid driver’s license + ACI, ICC, and NICET certifications are preferred.
- Technical requirements:
- + Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets, and other industry standard software.
+ Strive to maintain 92% or greater billable time per month. Billable items include; inspection, project management, writing reports, or attendance of required project meetings. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working. + Review and sign reports generated by technicians and inspectors. + Return calls or email within a reasonable time period. + Maintain a professional image. + Complete all required safety reporting. + Manage projects during construction to ensure quality and scope is being achieved. + Oversee personnel daily to ensure inspections, test results and client communications are in line with our proposals and client requirements.
- Other miscellaneous qualities:
- + Ability to travel up to 25% of the time + Must be willing to work “off hours” when needed and up to 60 hours per week as needed + Must be able to effectively communicate with project stakeholders
