Responsibilities:
Conduct Site Studies evaluating damages to building materials orcomponents for Residential and Commercial Structures, including butnot limited to roof systems, foundations, water intrusion, claddingelements, construction defects, and complete structural systems.
Write Technical Reports that provide detailed and accurate findingsand conclusions related to a completed site investigation. Provideexcellent customer service to company internal and externalcustomers. On occasion, provide expert testimony or depositions asneeded on projects to which you have been assigned. Our company hasa dedicated Litigation Department to provide support to all projectmanagers. Proactively pursue additional training, mentoringopportunities, licenses, education, and/or certifications (costcovered by Company). Travel may be required for assigned workoutside of your home-region. Daily and overnight in-region travelis also required for facilitating investigations.
Education/Requirements:
BS Degree in Civil or StructuralEngineering or related engineering disciplines (Mechanical,Electrical, etc…) Registered as an active Professional Engineer(P.E.) in the State of Connecticut. Have an active NCEES record (Orbe eligible to obtain within 90 days of employment). 2-3 ofexperience in failure analysis, forensic or structural inspection,knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction, buildingcodes, design, or related experience is highly preferred. Requiredto have a valid driver’s license, with an acceptable drivingrecord. Required to have strong technical writing abilities withexperience using Microsoft Word. Proficient with Microsoft Office(Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc….). Interested in hearing more?
