2882 Are we the road to your future? We are currently searching for an experienced Civil Engineer (EI) to support our Southeast Region located in Miami or Fort Lauderdale, FL. To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. What you’ll be doing: Assisting in the design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructures
These projects may include bridges, roads, tunnels, water, and sewage systems
Different roadway design components include typical sections, geometric layouts, drainage analysis, maintenance of traffic plans
Assignments will also involve tasks associated with producing a set of construction documents including drafting, computations, specifications, and cost estimate
Mentor junior engineers
Perform detailed engineering calculations & analysis, and utilizes design software to solve complex issues
Responsible for project schedules and client communications What you need to have: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
0 – 6 years of related experience
Registered EI license in Florida is required
Experience with Microstation, Geopak, OpenRoads, and/or AutoCAD
Has knowledge of local municipalities, funding sources, public infrastructure, and traffic
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines.
Valid driver’s license.
