Consulting Civil / Structural Engineer – 100% ONSITE Position Available In Broward, Florida

Job Description:

Our client in the MetroWest area of MA is seeking an ONSITEConsulting Civil / Structural Engineer for a period of at least 7months, with the potential for extension, or possibly direct hirein the future. This is a high profile project for a well respectedorganization with an established client and requires an onsitepresence in their office in the MetroWest area due to theconfidential nature of the work. The Consulting Civil Engineer willbe provided with training and then be responsible for, but notlimited to, the following: analyzing and reviewing reinforcedconcrete design and construction drawings, reports, and designchanges; executing automated scripts and performing manual pass /fail verification; and performing detailed assessments andevaluations such as averaging and section cuts. All applicants willneed to be ONSITE DAILY, be able to pass a full 7 year BackgroundCheck, and sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. BS in Civil or StructuralEngineering Experience and / or educational background in concrete design toinclude interpreting and reviewing reinforced concrete drawings,reports, and design changes; executing automated scripts andperforming manual pass / fail verification; and performing detailedassessments and evaluations such as averaging and section cuts Ability to understand the behavior of reinforced concrete shearwalls and slabs failing in flexure, shear, and compression Experience designing walls and slabs in accordance with the designprocedures specified in the Building Code Requirements forStructural Concrete (ACI 318) Exposure to engineering simulation / automation software,preference would be Ansys Ability to work well in a team environment and on repetitivetasks Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Available to begin this project the first or second week ofJanuary Willingness and ability to do all of the following: work
