Job Description
Project Engineer National Express Wash HoldCo LLC Miami, FL 33172 Project Planning & Engineering Collaborate with internal teams and consultants to ensure standards are implements and drawings are coordinated in relation to, equipment placement, utility connections, and traffic flow. Produce and review engineering drawings, site plans, and technical documentation. Assist with civil, mechanical, and electrical design reviews to ensure compatibility with car wash systems. Permitting & Regulatory Compliance Lead permitting efforts for new car wash sites including building permits, and utility connections. Liaise with local municipalities, regulatory agencies, and environmental authorities to secure necessary building and site permits. Track permitting timelines and proactively address regulatory or documentation issues. Ensure compliance with building codes, stormwater regulations, ADA requirements, and environmental policies. Project Execution & Oversight Supporting construction directors updating and maintaining timelines, budgets, and construction schedules for multiple simultaneous projects. Coordinate with contractors, equipment vendors, and utility providers during construction and installation phases. Conduct site visits to oversee progress and troubleshoot field issues. Support commissioning, testing, and turnover of fully operational car wash systems. Stakeholder Coordination Work closely with real estate, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless project handoff. Provide technical support during site acquisitions and due diligence evaluations. Serve as a key technical liaison between external consultants and internal departments. What you’ll bring to the team: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or a related field. 3-7 years of experience in engineering, construction, or development projects, with hands-on permitting experience. Strong working knowledge of municipal and state permitting processes for commercial developments. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office; experience with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Procore) a plus. Ability to read and interpret site plans, utility plans, and architectural drawings. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Willingness to travel to project sites and municipal offices as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in the car wash industry or other commercial development (QSR, gas stations, etc.). Familiarity with stormwater management, water reclaim systems, and environmental permitting. Knowledge of traffic studies, easement agreements, and utility coordination. PMP certification or professional engineering license (PE or EIT) is a plus.

Travel Requirements:
This position requires 50% travel. Travel may include regional travel for business meetings. Occasional evening or weekend travel may be required.
