We are seeking a senior-level Project Engineer to join our dynamic and collaborative water/wastewater team in Miami ! We are offering a hiring bonus of up to $10,000 for selected candidate! The Senior Project Engineer – Water/Wastewater (Engineer III and higher) is responsible for directing the engineering design team in a variety of water/wastewater and municipal utility projects throughout the entire cycle from initial concept through successful completion. This role involves coordinating the efforts of the engineering team, contractors, and project managers to achieve project goals efficiently. The Senior Project Engineer will ensure all aspect of the project design, from planning to final delivery are met within budget and meeting the required quality standards. Duties Include Leading and managing the planning, design, and production of lift stations, pipelines and/or water/wastewater treatment systems. Overseeing others, providing scopes, and ensuring alignment with goals, schedules, and budget. Uses team management skills to lead the design group during the conceptual phase of product development following CPH and client’s standards and templates. Directs development of an action plan and estimates requirements for resources management, labor, materials, and time required to complete project. Developing deliverables including plans, design reports and technical specifications. Supervising junior engineers in evaluation of shop drawings, and oversight of construction administration duties as the Engineer of Record. Monitoring progress of development project and compares actual costs with estimates. Preparing monthly reports, detailing progress, and costs for next level management. Working with Project Managers to develop scope and manhour estimates for various projects. Reviewing and studying existing equipment, facilities, systems, and processes to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs. Periodic travel to perform business development, project management, site investigations, and construction observation. Duties include preparation or review of subsequent reports and exhibits. Collaborating with other Project Engineers from different plants to share similar problems and solutions. Serving as a primary point of contact for internal and external clients. Requirements Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Familiarity with Deltek Vision, Smartsheet, or similar software platforms Ability to effectively lead and inspire a team Comfortable working and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team Ability to effectively multi-task while adhering to project schedules and budgets Strict adherence to deadlines Knowledge of codes and design and construction practices
Education and Experience:
B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a P.E. license in the state of Florida Minimum 5+ years of experience (for Engineer III) and 8+ years of experience (for Engineer IV or higher) with municipal utilities, stormwater design, or water/wastewater treatment systems Strong knowledge of engineering principals and industry standards as it relates to pipelines, lift stations, pumps, water lines, stormwater systems, and water/wastewater treatment facilities Costal Engineering experience is a plus Compensation & Benefits Dependent upon experience.
