Civil Engineer Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer with substantial experience in site development, grading, stormwater design, and structural design for renewable energy and land development projects. This role requires proficiency in Civil 3D, PVCase, and structural design software, as well as the ability to prepare, review, and manage design deliverables in coordination with other engineering teams. A solid understanding of structural elements such as foundations, concrete pads, and support structures used in solar farms and energy-related infrastructure is essential. Responsibilities Develop and design site layouts, grading, and stormwater management systems for renewable energy and land development projects. Coordinate and manage design deliverables with other engineering teams. Utilize Civil 3D, PVCase, and structural design software to produce high-quality engineering solutions. Conduct structural analysis and detailing for foundations, concrete pads, and support structures. Prepare, review, and oversee the implementation of civil and structural designs. Ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements. Collaborate across various engineering disciplines to deliver innovative solutions. Contribute to the development of utility-scale solar PV and energy storage projects. Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. PE or EIT certification (or progress toward PE). 5+ years of experience in civil site design and structural detailing. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including grading, alignments, profiles, corridors, feature lines, surface modeling, and volume calculations. Strong foundation in stormwater, drainage, and access road design. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). Working knowledge of structural analysis software. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with PV-Case is a plus. Experience with solar energy or energy infrastructure projects.
