Your impact Jacobs is growing and we are looking for a Project Engineer to join our team in the Atlanta area. We are looking for someone who coordinates work of various contracts as assigned, evaluates contract issues such as pay applications, changes, punchlists and closeout activities. Support in coordinating the efforts of the contractors.
Assists in the development and maintenance of the contract Document Control files on site, if any.
Assist in the evaluation of progress and quality of construction activities in conformance with approved schedules and budgets.
Review progress payments.
Review bid package documents as issued by design consultants for omissions, clarifications required, and for coordination between design disciplines.
Assist Resident Engineer, or direct supervisor, in weekly construction meetings.
Expedite resolution of construction problems.
Obtain Daily Reports from all contractors and inspectors. Assist the Resident Engineer, or direct supervisor, in the preparation of the Resident Engineer’s Weekly Report.
Maintain contract Quantity Book, change management control logs, submittal and RFI logs.
Establish that insurance, bonding and contracts requirements are properly executed and maintained. Here’s what you’ll need
Minimum of five (5) to ten (10 )years’ experience in the administration of office and document processing for a construction contract.
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations — interpersonal skills and leadership skills.
Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Suites specifically Word, Excel, Access and Outlook. Working knowledge of PMWEB, Primavera (P6), and Welcom Cobra Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and contract.
