Job Description
Our client, a global industrial technology company, is looking for a Project Engineer to join their team in Atlanta, GA! This is a 6-month contract to hire opportunity and is onsite so candidates must be local. This role is ideal for an experienced Project Engineer with at least four years of industry experience and strong knowledge of HVAC, security systems, and building automation technologies. The position involves leading field engineering efforts on multiple projects, including system installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and coordination with customers, subcontractors, and other trades.
Contract Duration:
6 Months Required Skills & Experience At least 4 years’ experience as a Systems Application Engineer with related industry knowledge and demonstrated communication skills for interfacing directly with customers and other trades. Experience with HVAC and security installations and be proficient in all types of building systems and the application of our technology. Capable of coordinating other project team activities on site, including coordination with other trades, commissioning agents, and customers. What You Will Be Doing This position is responsible for project coordination, safety, installation, checkout, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities Include:
Read plans, specifications, drawings, and estimates. Lead resolution of project issues through RFI’s, field surveys, and customer communications. Manage incoming requests from customers, subcontractors, engineers, and project managers efficiently so that they are addressed promptly while balancing work assignments. Be able to read and understand hardware submittals, read or write simple programming, and assist others in start-up of control’s equipment at a basic level with mentor support. Maintain and adhere to standards for engineering hardware and software designs. Assist the PM in reviewing contract documentation, coordinating drawings, material procurement, and mgt throughout project life cycle. Competency of cybersecurity paradigms (security passwords, configuration) and networking hardware. Ensure all design engineer activity is aligned with latest conformed construction documents prior to installation. Diagnose communication problems and install control devices and other components, troubleshoot software and hardware issues. Participate in field quality control or safety audits and review analysis and results. Coordinate with on-site contractors for the installation of equipment based on shop drawings. Act as primary point of contact for subcontractors and coordinate and address any issues during installation phase independently.
