POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Able to perform all essential Project Engineer responsibilitiesAttend and document project meetings (write minutes)Set up and maintain project filing systemUpdate and maintain all sets of drawings, specifications and logsDistribute all documents to subcontractors, maintain document logsAssist with preparation of CPM schedulesAssist with updating and maintaining master CPM scheduleEvaluate field problems and document RFI’sPrepare and maintain RFI logs on CMIC systemReview, evaluate, and transmit submittalsPrepare and maintain submittal logsPrepare and maintain expediting logPerform expediting functionsVerify original estimate quantities for labor cost reportsReport quantities in place and maintain labor cost reportCost code and/or verify correct codes on time sheetsPrepare and document extra work ordersReview and assemble change order submittals and quantity surveysMaintain reference log on CMICMaintain progress photo albumCompile contract close out documents (OandM manuals, as builts, etc.)Document punch list workComplete other responsibilities as assigned

MINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree, or completion of Construction Management Certificate Program, or equivalentMinimum 2 years as Project EngineerField experience desirable – e.g. carpenterBasic estimating and scheduling skillsAbility to read and understand plans and specificationsEffective written and verbal English language communication skillsAbility to use independent judgment; self-startingDrafting and computer skills desirable
