We are currently searching for an experienced Project Engineer to support our West Gulf Region located in Shreveport, LA. What you’ll be doing: Directly supports Owner’s project leadership to enable successful on-time and on-schedule delivery of the projects/tasks
Responsible for management and oversight of the Project/Tasks, including coordinating with stakeholders and meeting all project requirements
Represents the team on technical discussions and has the technical knowhow to discuss and resolve technical issues
Sees the project’s “big picture” beyond engineering and construction requirements, and understands their interface with the project’s objectives
Ability to balance technical constraints, policy goals, and stakeholder needs to recommend optimal solutions to difficult issues
Coordinates with multiple agencies and local jurisdictions to provide timely information sharing, win-win solutions, and ultimately obtain project support
Coordinates with community and business stakeholders to provide timely information, receive productive input, and responsive issue resolution
Assisting in the design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructures
These projects may include bridges, roads, tunnels, water, and sewage systems
Different roadway design components include typical sections, geometric layouts, drainage analysis, maintenance of traffic plans
Assignments will also involve tasks associated with producing a set of construction documents including drafting, computations, specifications, and cost estimate
Mentor junior engineers
Perform detailed engineering calculations & analysis, and utilizes design software to solve complex issues
Responsible for project schedules and client communications
Provide QA/QC checks of plans and calculations on each stage of plan submittals What you need to have: BS or MS in Civil from and ABET accredited program
EI Certification may be considered
Experience with AutoCad Civil 3D and MicroStation
Self-motivated to meet individual goals and maintain accountability in a team environment
Effective verbal and written communication skills
General interpersonal skills including active listening, teamwork, responsibility, dependability, leadership, motivation, flexibility, and patience
