We’re looking for a licensed Civil or Structural Engineer to join our Baton Rouge team. This is a critical engineering role where you will work closely with detailing, project management, and fabrication teams to create practical, efficient steel designs that meet both customer standards and our advanced manufacturing capabilities.
What You’ll Do
Provide structural design and engineering support for fabricated steel structures.
Review customer specifications, design criteria, and drawings to develop safe and cost-effective solutions.
Collaborate with detailing teams to translate design intent into buildable shop drawings.
Ensure all engineering complies with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
Optimize designs for our in-house fabrication methods, including robotic assembly and welding.
Communicate directly with customers to clarify requirements and resolve technical questions.
Support quality assurance and production teams to ensure designs are executed properly.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in structural steel design or a related field.
Strong understanding of steel fabrication, welding practices, and connection detailing.
Familiarity with AISC codes and industrial/commercial construction standards.
Proficiency in engineering software such as IDEA StatiCa, AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar.
Clear communication, strong organization, and collaborative mindset.
