Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced engineering professional to leadsignificant vessel design projects and manage a team of engineersand designers. You’ll play a key role in both hands-on design workand project oversight, helping us deliver innovative solutions forvessel construction and modification.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
Oversee major engineering projects or several smaller ones withcomplex features. Plan, coordinate, and direct all projectphases.
Design & Engineering:
Lead the conceptual, detailed, and production design of new vesselsand modifications. Solve technical challenges and perform/verifyengineering calculations.
Project Management:
Develop and manage project schedules, ensure work is completed ontime and within budget, and coordinate with clients to define newtasks. Provide cost estimates for future work.
Collaboration & Mentorship:
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including juniorengineers and CAD/modeling staff. Mentor and support lessexperienced engineers.
Client Relations:
Attend client meetings and help build strong, long-termpartnerships.
Technical Drawing:
Create and review detailed CAD drawings for vessel modifications,repairs, outfitting, and site plans.
Compliance:
Follow all safety, environmental, quality assurance, and securityprotocols.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering froman accredited institution.
Experience:
10+ years in a relevant engineering role, preferably in the marineindustry.
