Job Description:

The Data Center Building Engineer provides maintenance supportfor the Data Center and campus. Operates and maintains allmechanical and electrical systems in the systems and complex.

Assist outside vendors/contractors for specialized maintenance,repairs, and mechanical projects. Provides critical support tofacility with 12-hour shifts working a 4 day on 4 day off workweek. Reports to Facility Manager. This is a full-time opportunitywith medical, dental, vision and 401k benefits.

Pay:

$26-36/hrEssential Job Functions Receives direction from the BuildingEngineer Lead. Accountable for infrastructure systems uptime,monitoring critical systems within tolerances, frequent buildinginspections while providing reliable service delivery to colocationcustomers. Operation of all mechanical and electrical systems in areliable and cost-effective manner for the complex. Effectivelylearn and utilize building controls systems of chiller plants, HVACsystems, cooling towers, other water systems, and fire systems.

Provide maintenance support for all mechanical and environmentalsystems, make repair suggestions, while providing feedback andimprovement recommendations for the procedures. Ability to climband work from ladders, man hoists or lifts, and the ability to liftand carry heavy loads (up to 50lbs.). Contribute to minor repairsand light duty construction which includes physical structures,plumbing systems, wide range of HVAC equipment, and electricaldistribution. Oversees third party activities and services. Assistin some very basic security related duties. Qualifications 2-5years of electrical and mechanical experience working in HighAvailability (Data Centers, Manufacturing, Hospital) environments.

College/Technical degree preferred but will consider applicantswith equivalent work related experience.

Experience:

Electric/pneumatic controls operation. Assist in the formulation,implementation, and adherence to safety policies and proceduresrelated to the daily operations of the facilities. Participation insafety, knowledge and skills training. Previous military experiencea plus. CFC refrigeration license a plus. Skills and AbilitiesReading and understanding blueprints, schematics, control ladderdrawings and flow charts. Setup and use test equipment, includingvolt ohm meters, balancing and alignment equipment, refrigerantleak detection, refrigerant reclaim units. Requires understandingand principal working knowledge of parallel redundant UPS systems,standby diesel generators, large chilled water systems, automatedcontrols troubleshooting and setup.
