Position Summary of Project Engineer I:

Project Engineers work withexperienced Project Management and Field Supervision staff andassist with the overall safety, direction, completion, andfinancial outcome of construction projects from initial budgetthrough project closeout. Safety is the number one priority andProject Engineer I’s are expected to promote and exemplify safework practices. Project Engineer I’s are expected to work with teammembers at all levels of Project Management and Field Supervisionto establish operational priorities and ensure a quality project.

They are also expected to grow and maintain positive and effectiveworking relationships with both internal and external members ofthe Project Team and support departments.

Responsibilities:

Performthe following duties with support and direction from a ProjectManager Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying and exceedingclient needs Estimate, value engineer and develop project budgetsFacilitate the subcontractor bid process to include processing,distribution and tracking of all project bidding documentationUtilize software programs and templates to process, distribute andtrack all project documentation Negotiate subcontractor andmaterial buyout; develop and negotiate subcontracts. Plan andschedule projects Manage jobs in progress including subcontractorcoordination, conflict resolution, documentation and ensuringquality and safety on every job Manage project costs through theongoing evaluation of labor, material and equipment; continue toforecast and analyze construction costs, exposures and profitsthrough project completion Perform project closeout

PositionQualifications:
