Geotechnical Engineer Location:
Oxford, MS Job Description Our client is seeking a project engineer for their geotechnical engineering department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in Geotechnical Investigations and Phase I Environmental Assessments involving residential and commercial sites, institutional and education sites, roadways and bridges, and higher learning projects.
Responsibilities:
Conduct due diligence research for upcoming projects. Prepare engineering reports for geotechnical and environmental studies. Generate location plans, undercut plans, and segmental retaining wall plans. Perform engineering calculations for bearing capacity, slope stability, pile capacity, and retaining wall designs. Review submittals for active construction projects. Essential Skills Geotechnical analysis Geological Engineering 2+ years of site design consulting experience Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate Valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation history
