This position will be the link between the design,pre-construction, and project teams. The ideal candidate will havea background in field engineering, estimating, andsurvey.

Responsibilities include: Instill safety as a top priority Working in a collaborative environment. Analysis of plans, specifications, and other relatedengineering documents. Computer-aided preparation of quantity take-offs, verificationof site conditions, review of construction methods and equipmentutilization. Responsible for timely, thorough and accurate take offs. Assist in preparing work plans and proposal documents. Assist in preparing bid documents and developing constructionschedules. Build relationships and communicate with owners, designpartners, internal partners, and project stakeholders. Manage document control including submittals, RFI’s, andcontract documents. Review preliminary design documents and manage constructabilitycomment and clarifications. Create and manage 3D models for preconstruction team. Understand and assist with project layout and survey. Attend and/or lead meetings Other duties may be assigned.

Experience, Education & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or ConstructionManagement. 3 or more years’ experience in highway heavy construction. Must be competent in the use of computer software applicationsused for project control and administration, including MicrosoftWord, Excel, Access, Outlook, and Bluebeam. Must have strong knowledge and understanding of thefundamentals of surveying, as well as familiarity with Trimble’ssuite of civil construction field equipment and software

  • TrimbleBusiness Center, Trimble Siteworks, Earthworks, GCS900,WorksManager,AGTEK software, Civil 3D (C3D) Strong communication skills both written and oral.

Good attention to detail with the ability to recognizediscrepancies. Must have a positive attitude and possess self motivationalskills. Time Management, organization, and prioritization skills arecrucial. Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Working Conditions Location

  • Southeast Region Travel Required Construction Site Environment
  • Physical ability to stand,walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Exposed to high noiselevels. Construction Site Office Environment
  • Extensive sitting atdesk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stoopingand reaching required; ability to lift 5-20 poundsoccasionally.
