job summary: Are you a Civil Engineer with power generation experience? If so you’re needed by a respected construction firm in NJ or NC. Candidates need to have a BS Engineering degree and at least 8 years of Civil Engineering and design experience. Will need power plant, T&D and site development experience. Should have AutoCAD and people skills. Relocation, salary, bonus potential, 401k and benefits.

Charlotte, North Carolina job type: Permanent salary: $140,000 – 155,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Perform engineering calculations such as storm water and site drainage, prepare SWPPP, environmental permitting, land development plans including foundation excavation plans, roadway layout, traffic circulation studies, erosion and sediment control plans, site grading and drainage plans. Prepare designs and drawings using project specifications and discipline associated, written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards, and procedures. Prepare project estimates including material take-offs and manpower estimates Develop task schedules and engineering budgets Develop material specifications and prepare bid evaluations. Review relevant codes, design documents, specifications and construction documents to support project development. Review engineering reports and documentation prepared by junior staff Provide mentoring and technical development of junior staff Ensure the quality of project deliverables Travel to project sites as required.
