Project Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Project Engineer for our office in Charlotte, NC. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating activities to meet time and budget constraints. Project safety is our entire team’s top priority, so knowledge of OSHA is required. Responsibilities Plan and coordinate project activities to meet time and budget constraints. Ensure project safety in compliance with OSHA standards. Obtain and process submittals from subcontractors and suppliers (samples, product data, shop drawings, engineering stamped documents) to ensure compliance with contract documents. Assist with coordination of all trades, involving communication with subcontractors, architects, and engineers. Document conflicts or items requiring further information in RFIs (Requests for Information). Manage construction projects, including renovation projects. Handle project administration and document control using Procore. Perform administrative support tasks, including data entry, change order management, and customer service. Essential Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architectural or Engineering degree, or 2-3 years of equivalent experience. Knowledge of OSHA standards. Proficiency in Procore document control technology. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office. Experience in construction management, project coordination, document control, and commercial construction. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with submittals from subcontractors and suppliers. Strong communication skills to interact with subcontractors, architects, and engineers. Ability to manage time and budget constraints effectively. Work Environment This position is on-site and involves working on commercial projects throughout the Carolinas.
