What You’ll Do:

Conduct site inspections and structural evaluations for residential and commercial buildings. Use AutoCAD and other design software to create, modify, and finalize project drawings. Perform structural calculations to analyze and design repairs for various materials, including steel, concrete, and wood/timber. Prepare professional technical reports outlining observations, analysis, and recommendations. Interface with clients, contractors, and design professionals to develop practical, efficient solutions. Assist in marketing engineering services and identifying new project opportunities.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years in structural engineering, with a focus on wood framing or residential construction.

Education:

Certificate or associate degree in drafting/engineering technology, Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Beam software, and Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).

Problem-Solving:

Ability to analyze data, perform calculations, and develop innovative solutions.

Communication:

Strong written and verbal skills for professional client interaction.

Independence:

Self-motivated with the ability to schedule site inspections and complete projects efficiently.

Requirements:

Valid NC driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
