Project Engineer:
Compensation:

$70,000 – $95,000/year + bonus

Location:

Raleigh, NC Our client is hiring a Construction Assistant Project Manager / Project Engineer in Raleigh, NC to support residential and commercial construction projects. This role offers hands-on exposure to both field and office operations, including project planning, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and logistics. Ideal candidates have experience in multifamily construction and are eager to grow within a high-performing team while gaining experience in preconstruction, quality control, and full project execution. Project Engineer:
Project Coordination:

Support daily construction activities, scheduling, and workflow to ensure projects stay on track.

Subcontractor & Vendor Management:

Assist with bidding, contracting, and coordinating subcontractors and suppliers.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting records throughout the project lifecycle.

Field & Safety Support:

Collaborate with field teams to uphold safety standards, quality control, and compliance.

Cost Tracking & Procurement:

Help manage budgets, review invoices, and support procurement to maintain project efficiency. Qualifications for the Construction Assistant Project Manager /

Project Engineer:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

2-5 years of experience in construction, with exposure to multi-family, commercial, or mixed-use projects.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or Microsoft Project, with strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Skills & Attributes:

Detail-oriented and proactive with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, thriving in fast-paced, team-driven environments.
