The Ideal Candidate:

Key Responsibilities:

As a Project Engineering Manager, you will be entrusted with a range of critical responsibilities, including:

Collaborative Project Planning:

Work in close collaboration with fellow Project Managers to define and establish clear project goals, objectives, deliverables, and realistic deadlines across our diverse project portfolio. Utility Project Management (Water/Wastewater): Lead the comprehensive planning, detailed design, and diligent construction oversight for a variety of utility water and wastewater projects. This will involve serving municipal, industrial, and private clients, ensuring solutions meet their specific needs and regulatory standards.

Site Development Design:

Conceptualize and create detailed site layouts, efficient roadway designs, precise grading plans, effective erosion control measures, and comprehensive stormwater management system plans.

Technical Documentation:

Develop and prepare high-quality project exhibits, complete construction drawings, and thorough technical specifications necessary for project bidding, permitting, and execution.

Engineering Calculations:

Perform fundamental engineering calculations to support design decisions, ensuring the integrity, safety, and efficiency of engineered solutions.

Client Interaction & Management:

Directly engage and communicate with a diverse range of public and private clients, managing expectations, providing project updates, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

Educational Background:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a directly related engineering field from an accredited institution.

Demonstrated Interest:

A genuine and demonstrable interest in specializing or advancing your career in the fields of land development, water resources, or environmental engineering.

Design Software Proficiency:

Professional hands-on experience utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or a similar industry-standard design software for civil and environmental engineering applications.

Project Deadline Adherence:

A proven ability to manage time effectively and consistently meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Communication Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information clearly and professionally when representing the company to clients and stakeholders.

Core Technical Experience:

Practical experience in the design of water/wastewater systems, general civil engineering design, civil site design, and/or civil site development projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable and will set you apart:

Professional Experience:

3 to 5 years of progressive professional work experience in land development, water resources, or environmental engineering. Advanced Education (Civil Engineering): A 4-year degree specifically in Civil Engineering.

Professional Licensure:

A current Professional Engineer (PE) license, or well-defined plans and eligibility to obtain PE licensure in a timely manner.
