⚐ ⚑ ⚑ Geotechnical Engineer Opportunity (Raleigh) Timmons Group ‹ image 1 of 5 › Trinity Road near Norwell Road compensation: based on experience employment type: job title: Geotechnical Engineer Timmons Group is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Geotechnical and Construction Services Group located in our Raleigh, NC office. A Geotechnical Engineer applies learned skills and technical ability to site and building projects by testing earth materials, evaluating they engineering properties, and estimating the materials’ response to loading. Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- A BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis on Geotechnical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with traditional geotechnical engineering
- Candidate must possess experience performing geotechnical engineering consulting in both private and public work sectors
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or ability to obtain PE within one year
- Strong technical skills in a wide range of geotechnical analysis and design
- Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to modify personal schedule as required to meet project deadlines and/or client needs
- Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, design software for deep foundations (Lpile, GRLWEAP), and slope stability modeling.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing approximately 50 pounds.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship
