Structural Project Engineer We are seeking a Structural Project Engineer with 5 to 9 years of experience in building structure design. Licensed Professional Engineers (PEs) or engineers-in-training nearing licensure are encouraged to apply. In this role, you will perform structural design calculations, develop detailed plans, coordinate with clients and project teams, and oversee construction administration tasks. You will work closely with our firm’s partners on unique, complex projects, allowing you to broaden your expertise and eventually manage projects independently as the engineer of record. Experience in designing mid-rise structures using steel, post-tensioned concrete, and mass timber is preferred, along with assisting in the development and implementation of our engineering, modeling, and drawing standards. Responsibilities Perform structural computations for the design and analysis of concrete, steel, and other structures. Create and interpret 2D and 3D analysis models for structural frames. Support construction administration activities, including site visits and shop drawing reviews. Analyze load paths for gravity and lateral loads, calculating applicable loads based on building codes. Develop design drawings, quantities, cost estimates, specifications, and reports in collaboration with the structures team. Prepare technical studies and reports as needed. Essential Skills Expertise in structural engineering principles. Proficiency in Revit for structural design. Experience with structural analysis and project management. Strong ability to perform calculations and manage construction administration tasks. 4-8 years of professional experience. P.E. license in your resident state (or pending licensure). Additional Qualifications Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering is a plus. Familiarity with software like Rhino is an advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills.
