- The State of New Hampshire, Department of Transportation, Bureau of Bridge Design has several full-time vacancies for Civil Engineer IV.

SUMMARY:
- To plan, evaluate and develop project plans and professional engineering functions for the Bureau of Bridge Design.

YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS
- Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
- Master’s degree from an accredited institute of higher education with a major study in engineering.

Experience:
- Four years’ post baccalaureate experience in engineering.
- OR•
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institute of higher education with a major study in engineering.

Experience:
- Six (6) years’ post baccalaureate experience in engineering.
- OR•
Education:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited institute of higher education with a major study in engineering or engineering technology.

Experience:
- Six (6) years’ experience in civil engineering at a level equivalent to Civil Engineer I (or higher), plus two (2) additional years’ experience in a position comparable to an Engineering Technician.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
- 1.
Must be a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New Hampshire or a Licensed Professional Engineer in another state and obtain licensure in NH within one (1) year of employment. Licensure designation must be in Civil, Civil Highway, Geo Technical or Structural Engineering.2. Must possess a valid driver’s license and/or have access to transportation for statewide travel.3. The applicant’s Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet the minimum standards as established by the hiring agency.
