Structural Engineering Consultant STRAAM Group Inc., Chester, NJ 07930 • Hybrid work Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who can manage a project with oversight from the proposal phase including field work, data management, report writing and project administration. Company has an advanced dynamic assessment and monitoring technology. Company will train the candidate of specific analytical requirements. This role requires a strong foundation in civil engineering principles and proficiency in industry-standard software tools. Responsibilities Prepare reports that include using company software Periodic construction site visits which require travel, and occasional specialized structural inspections Become proficient with company instrumentation Prepare proposals, review specifications, design analysis and cost estimates. Perform assessment related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, Collaborate with clients, owners, engineers and building contractors on design and construction of project Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering 2+ years experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must have MATlab skills Efficient with Excel and Microsoft suite Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations and assessments. Skills that would be a distinct advantage, but not required Programming skills in python a plus Finite Element modeling skills Experience with the behavior of dynamic system analysis.
