POSITION SUMMARY
Respond and attend toguest repair requests. Communicate with guests/customers to resolvemaintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools andkitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning andlubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Carryequipment (e.g., tools, radio). Identify, locate, and operate allshut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs forbuildings. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts andsupplies as needed. Communicate each day’s activities and problemsthat occur to the other shifts using approved communicationprograms and standards. Display basic knowledge or ability toacquire knowledge in the following categories: air conditioning andrefrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing,pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finishskills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/orgeneral building. Perform all surface preparation, painting, minordrywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacementand the complete and thorough cleanup of the painting or repairarea. Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types ofequipment, plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains),electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extensioncords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electricalswitches and outlets, and other guestroom items. Program TV’s andperform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventoryduties. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing anymaintenance work. Perform repairs on interior and exteriorlandscaping as well as external landscaping sprinklers. Displaybasic computer skills including inputting air handler schedules andmaking temperature changes. Follow all company and safety andsecurity policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems,safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety trainingand certifications; and properly store flammable materials. Ensureuniform and personal appearance are clean and professional,maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protectcompany assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according tocompany standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs,assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuineappreciation. Adhere to quality expectations and standards. Developand maintain positive working relationships with others, supportteam to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately tothe concerns of other employees. Speak with others using clear andprofessional language. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and placeobjects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistanceand heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance. Move up anddown stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders. Reach overhead andbelow the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, andstooping. Enter and locate work-related information usingcomputers. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or G.E.Dequivalent.
Related Work Experience:
Some experience in generalmaintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation andpainting. Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus.
Supervisory Experience:
No supervisory experience.

Driver’s License The payrange for this position is $23.75 to $24.75 per hour and offershealth care benefits, retirement benefits, earned paid time offand/or sick leave, life insurance, disability coverage, and otherlife and work wellness benefits.
